PU insulated pipe shells are used for thermal insulation and cold insulation of various outdoor pipelines, central-air-conditioning ducts, and industrial pipelines in chemical plants, pharmaceuticals, etc.

PU insulated pipe is formed by closely combining the steel pipe that conveys the medium, the HDPE outer jacket, and the PU foam insulation filling the space between them. It is a prefabricated insulated steel pipe with an HDPE outer protective jacket and PU foam. The rust-removed and anti-corrosion-treated steel pipe is simply inserted into the polyethylene jacket, PU foam is injected in between so that the gap is fully filled, and finally the steel pipe, jacket, and insulation form a solid whole, achieving anti-corrosion and thermal insulation and forming the insulated steel pipe.

PU insulated pipe has become a relatively mature, well-developed technology in developed countries abroad. Over the past decade or more, China's heating-engineering technicians, by digesting and absorbing this advanced technology, have raised domestic pipe-network laying technology to a higher level. Ten years of practical results have fully demonstrated that the laying method of PU insulated direct-buried pipe has many advantages over traditional trench laying and overhead laying. This is also the inherent driving force behind the rapid development of PU insulated buried pipe in China's heating projects.
