PU insulated pipe: Since the birth of PU synthetic materials in the 1930s, they have been rapidly developed as an excellent insulation material, and their applications have become increasingly widespread. Because of their simple construction and more significant energy-saving and anti-corrosion effects, they are widely used in various pipelines for heating, cooling, oil, steam, etc.
Because the closed-cell content of PU foam exceeds 92%, using PU foam as the insulation layer of direct-buried pipe not only provides thermal insulation but also effectively prevents the ingress of water, moisture, corrosive liquids, and various gases, and inhibits bacterial growth. The applicable temperature is 90~120°C. After the PU foam is formed, its sealing is excellent, almost completely isolating the pipe from the outside and providing good protection. PU itself has good resistance to acids, salts, oils, and aging. Prolonged exposure of PU to sunlight is not recommended. Aging of PU materials is mainly affected by heat, ultraviolet light, water, and chemical media.
Generally suitable for insulation of buried pipelines. It is applicable to various soils and environments. PU insulated pipe has good water resistance and is especially suitable for high water-table areas. It has good corrosion resistance and impact resistance under low-temperature conditions, can be buried directly in frozen soil, and can be used for 30–50 years. Overhead laying has a service life of 15–30 years.
