Application Advantages of PU Insulated Steel Pipe
Compared with other steels, PU insulated steel pipe has outstanding properties: it is relatively light and is an economical-section steel product with increasingly widespread uses. The following outlines its advantages.

2. PU insulated steel pipe is resistant to corrosion by acids, alkalis, salts, and the atmospheric environment; it is resistant to low temperatures and has good impact and fatigue resistance.
3. PU insulated steel pipe has high tensile strength, good creep resistance, corrosion resistance, and seismic resistance.
4. PU insulated steel pipe has good mechanical properties and is easy to process.
5. PU insulated steel pipe has high elasticity, can be used repeatedly in machinery and equipment, and is antistatic.
PU insulated pipe often uses galvanizing. The two main methods are hot-dip galvanizing and electro-galvanizing; hot-dip galvanizing is further divided into wet, dry, lead-zinc, and oxidation-reduction methods.

There are so many hot-dip galvanizing methods; what are the differences among them? In fact, the main difference lies in what method is used to activate the pipe surface after acid pickling of the steel pipe in order to improve galvanizing quality. The hot-dip galvanizing methods mainly used in production today are still the dry process and the oxidation-reduction process.
The zinc coating of electro-galvanizing is very smooth and dense, with a uniform structure; it has good mechanical properties and corrosion resistance; zinc consumption is 60%–75% lower than that of hot-dip galvanizing. Technically, the electro-galvanizing process is much more complex than hot-dip galvanizing, but for single-side coatings, double-side coatings with different inner and outer thicknesses, and galvanizing of thin-wall pipe, electro-galvanizing is much more effective than hot-dip galvanizing, so these coatings all use electro-galvanizing.
