Directly buried thermal insulation pipes are mainly used for urban central heating network, oil delivery pipeline, high cold area water delivery pipeline and industrial pipeline project in production area. Because the polyurethane rigid foam insulation layer is tightly bonded to the outer skin of the steel pipe, the infiltration of air and water can be isolated, and good anticorrosion effect can be achieved. At the same time, its foaming holes are closed and its water absorption is very small. High density polyethylene shell and FRP shell have good anti-corrosion, insulation and mechanical properties.

The chemical property is stable, the service life is long, and it does not pollute the surrounding environment; the open flame extinguishes itself, and only carbonization does not drip when it is extinguished. The size and shape of the carbonization layer are basically unchanged, which can effectively cut off the entry of air, prevent the spread of fire, and have good fire safety performance. As the only new building material with integrated thermal insulation and waterproofing, the application of polyurethane rigid foam thermal insulation materials in domestic construction industry is still in its initial stage. Fortunately, in order to speed up the transformation of building thermal insulation materials and promote the application of polyurethane rigid foam in the field of building energy saving, the Ministry has set up a special "working group on polyurethane building energy saving applications" to promote the application of polyurethane rigid foam thermal insulation and waterproofing materials in the domestic building energy saving industry.
